REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH/POMEROY MISSION
Communion Service at 11 a.m.
Sermon: Pastor Milsten
Sunday school at 10 a.m.
Communion Service Pomeroy 8:00 a.m.
Church services at Redeemer will be at 10 am starting Sunday, July 7. This schedule will continue until after the fair. Services will be at 11 am starting September 15.
During this time, there will be no children’s Sunday school. However, in July we will encourage the children and their families to attend the regular Sunday service.
The first part of the regular church service will include a children’s lesson. The children will then be excused to the basement for additional supervised activities. Parents may bring their children back upstairs on communion Sundays to go to the altar with them if they so desire.
We pray that this July schedule will benefit us all. Please mark the third week in August for Vacation Bible School.
Direct any comments or questions to Pastor Milsten or Marcene.

Omar Stuenkel Pastor at Redeemer 1945-1948 - Update: Sue was in Spokane Valley on Tuesday, June 11, and visited with Omar Stuenkel.
I took him a small green German song book. I had obtained the song book when Redeemer was doing a book clean-out last year.
I had forgotten about the book until it surfaced recently while I was cleaning out my bookcase at home. The book had the name Omar Stuenkel, 1943, Fairbault Minnesota,
written on the inside jacket. When Wayne and I took the elevator up to the 4th floor of Pastor Stuenkel’s apartment building, an older gentleman walked past us in the hall.
I happened to look back as he passed and saw that his belt said Omar. What a coincidence! He was on his way to a class so we cut our visit short
but he seem delighted to see us and he loved the return of his book after 71 years! Another coincidence involving the book was the town of Fairbault Minn.
It turned out that my brother-in-law, Dennis VanHoudt’s father was born and raised in Fairbault Minn! What a small wonderful, world
