Church Council Meeting March 4 highlights: Discussed elevator inspection and maintenance, trustees will supervise elevator project. Sue and Al presented budget status and account balances; Pastor Milsten is planning to do the Stations of the Cross during Easter week. He will present his plan to ministerial association. Redeemer will open 7th and 8th grade confirmation class opportunity to the youth of the community. This is a Bible teaching tool and does not necessarily lead to membership. Pastor will continue to seek individuals who are interested in singing in a choir. Justin shared information on the PA system up-grade. Ruth Peterson was appointed financial secretary for Redeemer for 2019. Lenten services will begin with Ash Wednesday, March 6. Lenten soup suppers will be held on each Wednesday at 6:00pm before Passover. The council voted to support a youth ministry project bringing the movie Pilgrim’s Progress to the Liberty Theater. If approved by the movie company, the movie would be free to the public, more information will follow.

PROGRAM EVENTS CALENDAR:

  • Booker Rest Home Ministry – Redeemer on March 10. Please meet at Booker at 3:30 p.m.

  • Lent Soup Supper sign-up sheet is in the narthex. First soup supper is on March 13.

  • Women’s Bible Study Schedule: Beth Moore on Fridays at 10 a.m. All women are invited to attend. Child care is provided. Beth Moore’s The Children of the Day, a study of Thessalonians, is held on Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m. at Redeemer. However, not on Wednesday, 2/13 Children of the Day only.

  • Redeemer’s Ash Wednesday night prayer service at 7 pm, March 6.

  • Save the date! LCMC Conference will be in Tri-Cities May 3 & 4. Speakers will be Walt Kalestad and Mark Vander Tuig. This will be an excellent opportunity to fellowship. Sign up with Pastor Jeff if you plan to attend. There is a $55 conference registration fee which can be off-set by church funds if needed.



  • Continued healing prayers for Christy Bell, Annabelle Fletcher, Tony Currin, Debbi Bruegman and Bobbie Ruddell and her daughter Barbara, Kathy and Steve Jacobson, Please continue to pray for Janet Bye’s niece Breeann for recovery from lung transplants. Janet Bye is recovering nicely from her surgery . Bobbie Ruddell is recovering from a back injury. Let Pastor Jeff know of other prayer requests.

  • Don’t forget to sign up for 2019 church duties. Those volunteering for March Arthur and Nancy-3/3; 3/10 (day lights savings time begins) Bruegman; 3/17 and 3/24 Christy Bell and Deena Potter; 3/31 Scotty and Pam Hutchison - Coffee hour, all on for March help.
